Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Norwell, Massachusetts
Job Description: Starboard Legal is on the hunt for a superstar Administrative Assistant to join our team, part time. The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing support to attorneys, and ensuring our clients feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Assist in daily administrative tasks, including answering phones, managing emails, and scheduling appointments.
Calendar Management: Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate dates.
Client Correspondence and Interaction: Greet and assist clients, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the office. Prepare and proofread follow-up correspondence and documents.
Document Filing and Management: Organize and maintain legal documents, contracts, and client files. Maintain an efficient filing system, ensuring easy retrieval of documents. Assist in document drafting and preparation.
Client records. Maintain confidentiality and security of client records and sensitive information.
Office Supplies. Monitor and replenish office supplies, ensuring an organized and well stocked work environment.
Research: Conduct legal research as requested, such as case law, statues, and regulations.
Billing and invoicing. Assist with billing tasks, generate invoices, and track client payments.
Qualifications:
High school, diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or legal assistance certification would be awesome.
Previous administrative experience, preferably in a legal setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficiency in Lawmatics would be amazing.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
Ability to prioritize workload based on internal and external needs.
Ability to meet and deal with clients and colleagues in a professional manner.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Familiarity with legal terminology and processes is preferred, but not required
